LEŠOK VILLAGE
The Lešok village is located in the north-western part of the Republic of Macedonia, on the Šar Planina (Šar Mountain), in the upper Polog plain, some 5 km from the nearby city of Tetovo. The population density of this village is rare, around 350-450 (Macedonians) people live in it. Almost all the locals are farmers, and they do cattle-breeding and agriculture.
There is a monastery complex with two churches, first dedicated to St. Atanasius and the second one dedicated to the Holy Mother of God (Sveta Bogorodica). They are located in the Gorno Maalo area of the village, lying under the Roman fortress.
